Coffee table BalanceTable is made of acrylic glass, solid cherry wood and two hemispheres, one of lacquered steel at the bottom and one of lacquered aluminium at the ceiling. This item plays with gravity by standing only on the pole of the lower hemisphere while it is kept in position by a thin thread that is almost invisible. So the illusion emerges that the table stands upright contrary to all physical laws. Looked at BalanceTable in a certain perspective, the different pieces of the item look like planets in their orbit.
